What you can expect:

Definition and implementation of measures to improve the cost structure as well as for process optimizations and productivity increases in coordination with procurement management
Development and implementation of commodity group strategies in line with the overall company and procurement objectives
Analysis and identification of relevant procurement markets
International supplier search and conduct of price and contract negotiations, including contract and complaint management
Initiation, planning and execution of optimization projects with suppliers, e.g. innovation workshops etc.
Ensuring compliance with all internal specifications for the procurement of products and services
Close cooperation with the Supply Chain Management, Development, Sales and Finance departments
Leading operational special projects in strategic procurement

What we expect:

A successfully completed engineering degree (economics, business administration, chemistry, materials technology, or similar) or completed vocational training with relevant professional experience, possibly with further training as an operational specialist/technical business administrator or similar.
Fluent in written and spoken English
At least 5 years of international professional experience in strategic procurement in a manufacturing company, preferably in the chemical industry, process engineering or recycling industry, as well as experience in strategic procurement with own product group responsibility.
Strong technical understanding
Sound knowledge of modern tools and concepts in strategic procurement
Experience in working with new product development as well as managing international projects
Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP ERP) and MS Sharepoint knowledge is advantageous
Knowledge of the international raw material markets for chemical products (virgin material and recycled material) is advantageous
